Building Hope Through Caring: Programs for People with Disabilities

Shanti Niwas Charitable Trust identified the need for people with special needs and to enhance their quality of life to run a weekly day program every Friday.

For people with special needs, it can often be an extremely slow and painful journey to live with their conditions, especially when they are living in a foreign country. People with disabilities have to cope with serious physical, psychological, emotional, social, and financial problems.

This program aims to provide support and information to such people, their families, and caregivers. The program is run by trained professionals and volunteers. It gives everyone with special needs a chance to meet for mutual support. They are encouraged to participate in various activities like exercise, current affairs, games, painting, musical sessions, outings, etc.
Shanti Niwas also organizes informative talks on health & welfare and other subjects.

The clients who attend this day program make tremendous physical and mental progress. They learn to be interactive and enjoy participating in activities for their benefit.
